Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary is the largest bird sanctuary in Karnataka, located on the banks of the River Kaveri near Srirangapatna. Spread across a group of small river islands, it is home to a wide variety of resident and migratory birds such as painted storks, spoonbills, pelicans, herons, and kingfishers. The sanctuary is best experienced through guided boat rides that offer close views of nesting birds and crocodiles. It is a paradise for bird watchers, nature lovers, and photographers.
