Gokak Falls

Gokak Falls, often called the ‘Niagara of Karnataka’, is a breathtaking sight where the Ghataprabha River plunges 52 meters over sandstone cliffs. Its horseshoe shape and roaring waters are framed by red rocks, ancient mills, and an old hanging bridge that sways over the mist. When the monsoon arrives, the river turns golden-brown under the sun, and the thundering sound fills the valley. The nearby Gokak town bears traces of colonial history, adding a nostalgic aura to nature’s might.
